Chante’ has worked in the education and non-profit space for nearly 15 years. She first came to education through Teach for America and taught middle school English Language Arts in Camden, New Jersey. Over the course of her career, Chanté has had the pleasure of serving as a classroom educator, teacher coach, talent acquisition and talent manager, diversity specialist, and strategist in the traditional public school, charter school, and non-profit sectors. This
includes serving as a National Vice President of Recruitment for Teach For America, Senior Director of Recruitment and Senior Advisor for KIPP DC , and DEI Facilitator and Strategist for several public and charter schools.
Currently, she now works as a consultant focused on Talent, Organizational Culture, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). In addition to her unwavering belief in students, schools, and community, and she is equally inspired by opportunities to serve as a resource for others/organizations committed to developing a strong foundation rooted in cultural competency, diversity, inclusion, and maximized impact.
Chante’ is passionately engaged in expanding life opportunities for ALL people, especially those from marginalized communities. She is dedicated to impacting the lives of and helping to improve the educational and life experiences of others. Moreover, she uses her passion to ignite others to follow a very similar path of leadership, advocacy, and transformational change.
Chanté earned a B.A. in English from Spelman College, and served as the Fundraising Chair for the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College, DC Metro Chapter. She also is a Founding Board Member for I Dream Academy DC. Additionally, Chanté is an alumna of the Broad Residency and also has a Masters in Educational Leadership.
