With 11+ years of experience designing, managing and leading new ways of working, Jessica gladly takes on opportunities that improve operational effectiveness by enabling an inclusive, empathy-first model of change. Jessica thrives in ambiguity, and she empowers organizations to make decisions by illustrating long-term strategy and the short-term steps to get there.
Jessica finds that her most meaningful work occurs when it aligns with her core values of creativity, adaptability and purpose, which she first experienced as a Teach For America Corps Member and a University Innovation Fellow at Arizona State University. More recently, Jessica advanced mission-driven companies and higher education institutions as an innovation management consultant, focusing primarily on aligning educational offerings with workforce needs and creating more accessible, outcomes-driven pathways for underserved and nontraditional student populations.
Additionally, as a design thinking researcher, practitioner, and author, Jessica believes in the internal and external value of human-centered design and utilizes its principles throughout her work. She recently co-authored “Experiencing Design: The Innovator’s Journey”, a book focused on the impact design thinking has on innovators themselves as well as on the quality of outputs.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky, where she studied economics, marketing and psychology, before receiving her Masters in Education from Arizona State University. She currently resides outside of Philadelphia with her husband and son.
