Kathleen Fujawa has over 20 years of experience working to advance leadership development experiences for all. She is passionate about organizational culture, inclusive management, and setting up systems and structures so that everyone can succeed, through talent strategy, organizational development, change management, and diversity.
Kathleen worked in client services and development before being asked to oversee recruitment in her first human resources position - where she found her passion. She spent ten years at Teach For America, where she helped to start the organization’s first ever Human Assets team and the business partner function. She then was the head of talent at Education Pioneers, where she oversaw human resources strategy and operations for the entire organization.
Kathleen started her career as a musician, and has a BS in music performance and communications from Indiana University. She pivoted to the business side of arts and education, and earned a MA in non-profit management from American University alongside a MM in music education from Northwestern University. Kathleen lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and elementary aged daughter, and is an avid reader, music lover and runner.
