Kristin L.
MEd, Columbia University Teachers College
MEd, Bank Street College of Education
BS, Northwestern University

Kristin has 15 years of experience leading for education equity as a teacher, school administrator, founding executive director, and network leader in district and charter school settings in our nation’s largest cities. Kristin’s passion and expertise is in strategic planning, systems design, start-up work, adult learning, and leadership coaching.

Most recently, Kristin served as the Chief Academic Officer at STRIVE Prep, a network of K-12 charter schools in Denver, CO, where she led the organizational academic strategy and aligned adult development programming. While there she created a common organizational approach to curriculum and instruction, led stakeholder engagement strategies to support network-wide change, developed a school leader coaching model, and improved academic outcomes across the network. Prior to that, she had the opportunity to found and lead a single-site charter school in New York City, and helped to build and grow new schools in teaching and teacher leadership roles as part of Uncommon Schools in NYC and the Noble Network of Charter Schools in Chicago. She began her career as a district school teacher and Teach for America Corps Member in Brooklyn, NY.

Kristin is a builder, gravitating toward opportunities to develop and grow new programs. She is equally passionate about both education equity and strong organizational systems. When she’s not working you can find Kristin obsessively rooting for her favorite baseball team or exploring the outdoors in Denver, CO with her two pups.
